AAAARGH!!

wOW! WhAt A cRaZy dAY wE hAd YeSTerDay!!! First we had Austins class Halloween Party and he got to dress up, can I just say I think he is the CUTEst pirate! Then we had the class parties at school to go help out with and THEN WE HAD Ryan's work Halloween Party. Which was my favorite party of the day. They had Dumbledore the magician come and he was absolutely AMAZING!! I don't know how he did his tricks, it was some pretty cool magic, he had a rabbit, a dove, and all kinds of things-the kids were amazed too! It was a lot of fun!

After Trick or Treating through the offices, we hurried to the Halloween Carnival that the elementary put on at the local High School. Blake is on the Student Council this year and helped plan the Spook Alley and was in it at the carnival, he loved that his costume glowed in the dark and he said scaring people was AWESOME! We had ALOT of fun yesterday, needless to say we were totally EXHAUSTED last night!

We ran into the Webbers at the carnival and they took this picture of us-it was so good to see them, they just returned from a mission in Russia!! They're Amazing!!

Ya know the weather is good when Blake & Kade pull out the golf clubs. I had to post this, because they do this all the time-the boys pull out their clubs and tee off in Erins yard then my yard, then proceed through the yards in the culdesac and end the course at Wendys house or go to the end of the culdesac. It is so funny to watch how they get into the game!! Sometimes the dads come out and hit too-they're kids too! :)

TRADITION!

Every year, halloween time, the Myers get together and dress our kids in their costumes and line them up on the couch and take their pictures. Here is this year-they are all so cute. My kids are Tigger, Spider-man, and the football player; however, I have it on good authority that my kids are really going to be pirates for halloween, so we'll just have to see :)

Overstepped my bounds

I was taking pics of my boys out front and Blake hated doing it, I guess he's grown out of posing and being "cute", so I thought of what I would do to get him to smile.....I said the name of the girl he likes, well this is what happened-

He came down after me-he's pretty brave, I'm still 2heads taller than him, but I still ran away(because I was laughing), that's why the picture is out of focus-it was all in good fun-he laughed after and it's no secret, we already knew who he likes anyway! Gotta love Moms :)

1. Where did you meet? Ryan and I met at WSU Institute Social (dance) his friend asked me to dance (Ry says his friend beat him to me, he wanted to ask me, OOOH! :)
2. How long did you date before you got married? for what seemed like eons! but was really only a year-I was ready to marry him right after I saw his beautiful brown eyes and dimples-whew! What a hunk! :)
3. How long have you been married? 11 years and still goin' strong!

4. What does he do that surprises you?Okay this one makes me laugh because Ry is not the surprising type-he is a thorough, thinking through, take your time to map it out type of guy; he always aske me in advance-I usually know or suspect before anything "surprising" happens-so can I say zilch?
5. What is your favorite feature of his? I can only pick one....hmm...I think it is his eyes, they are gorgeous. I do love all his features-I think he is the most handsome man!!!!! Smooch!
6. Does he have an annoying habit? OF COURSE! He never sits still and relaxes, he is always accomplishing something on his "list", (I like to call it the "Reed Syndrome" :) it makes me feel guilty because all I want to to is relax even though I have a million things that I should be doing!
7. What is your favorite quality of his? Again, only pick one? His Testimony- I knew he was the man for me because of his love and knowledge of the gospel. He is AMAZING!
8. Does he have a nickname for you? He calls me Stace and Hun
9. What is his favorite color? He likes Red, White, and Blue (go Bills!)
10. What is his favorite food? Anything home cooked-he hates to eat out, not because he's frugal, which he is-he just likes home cooked meals!
11. What is his favorite sport?That is a toughy to choose one-He LOVES LOVES LOVES sports! If he turns the tv on, it always is a game. He is also good at many sports. He plays Baseball (he played shortstop and 3rd in High School), he plays golf (also was on the golf team in High School), he plays football, I know he likes Basketball which he also plays...the list could go on and on-He is an Amazing athlete and is the top of his game-but he is too humble to admit it!
12. When and where was your first kiss? Well it took an eternity!! But after Forever dating-he finally kissed me after a fun date on my parents porch-just a sweet peck! He was very respectful.
13. What is your favorite thing to do as a couple?Sleep :) no I 'm just kidding, however there could be truth to that..um..I like to go out to eat, but I don't think I know what his favorite thing to do,... well I know one thing. :) sorry

15. Does he have a hidden talent? He does play the guitar, but there is one thing that is well, you decide--he can do this weird folding thing with his toungue-you know how when you stick your tongue out and fold it in half, he can fold his 3 times. That is really hard to explain-you'll just have to ask him to show you- I know guys think it is cool-He also can gleek on command and very far-that is annoying!

17. Who said "I love you" first? I am horrible because I can't remember-I'll say we both did to keep it sweet :)
18. What is his favorite type of music? He doesn't have a favorite "type" but I do know he likes Dave Matthews, and Collective soul, just to name a few-he likes all types; okay I say Rock is his favorite.
19. What do you admire most about him?His intelligence-He is Extremely Smart! He's Good looking and he is strong in the gospel, AND he is a GREAT dad! Oh and he makes me laugh(my favorite thing)!

After the sickness left our house, we went to the zoo on Friday and had a great time!

The cutest animals, I think, are the new baby meerkats-they're teeny tiny and full of personality!

We have had the flu at our house this week, no fun!! So today Blake took out the beads and taught his brothers how to make geckos-they turned out so cute and my kids love that they made them by themselves-Good job Blake, great idea! Everyone is doing much better and I hope the bug is gone and the bad germs aren't lingering. YUCK!

SNOW!!!

Today I had to stay home from church because Blake is sick. :( So sad when your kids are sick., but he's doing a little better now. I hope I don't get it or anyone else for that matter. I am sad that I am missing church and I don't have a fun book to read.

The crazy thing is that we woke up to SNOW today! Unbelievable-snow already, I miss those nice days when the kids could play outside-pictures to reminisce. . .

Goodbye to those nice warm days :( Hello to coats, gloves, hats, ....

6 Quirky Things About Me

Okay, Amy tagged me , so here goes:

1. This almost goes without saying, I LOVE TO LAUGH!!!!!!! When I was put here on the earth, my laugh meter must have been TWEEKED a little high! :)

2. I love old movies-musicals are at the top of the chart with me- I love music that is happy- I spent quite a while looking for one of my favorite songs, ironically enough, "I love to laugh", from Mary Poppins to put on this blog, but they don't have it. Some of my favorite musicals have the following actresses, Doris Day, Audrey Hepburn, Carol Burnett, Debbie Reynolds, & Julie Andrews, (just to name a few) how can you not love and appreciate them for sharing their talent! Gene Kelly, Fred Astaire, Bing Crosby, etc...Not just musicals, but old movies in general! I can't even think of all, I'm sure I'll think of more when I post thisif you have recomendations I always love seeing old movies I haven't before!!

3. I am addicted to buying candy. My family can attest to this. The problem not only is that candy isn't a very healthy treat, but that we don't each very much candy. I have a huge overflowing bin of candy right now(and always), anyone want some? I usually end up giving it to my brothers or end up throwing it away. FYI-my new favorite candy is Werthers Caramel filled werthers originals(it's new)-YUM!! :)

4. I love music. This kind of goes with the movies. I like music that makes me feel happy or brings back memories. I do like High School Musical, all Disney, music from my growing up (very wide range), and anything that sounds good, however I do not like songs that are heavy metal. I grew up in a very musical family so I can say I have been exposed to all kinds of good music-especially early Saturday Mornings-thanks Dad! :)

5. I love to eat good food! Sometimes I wish I had 2 stomachs when the food is so good and I wish I didn't have to stop tasting the YUMINESS! :)

6. You know the book "I love you forever", well I LOVE that book, it always makes me cry. I have been blessed with 3 most precious boys. Blake says he hates me to sing him the song from the book, but deep down I know he likes it! But I have to admit, sometimes at night, when my kids are sleeping, I sneak in their room and kiss them on their cheek and whisper in their ear "I love you Blake, (or Parker, or Austin)". I feel like it gives them good dreams.

Fun Conference Weekend!

I loved Elder Wirthlins talk!! COME WHAT MAY & LOVE IT!! We had such a fun weekend, usually saturday night the family women(mom, jen, linsey, jenica, anyone else) all get together and we go to dinner with the kids, instead we went to breakfast and ate yummy scones and breakfast and enjoyed being with the entire family-minus Brian and fam of course. It was fun to have everyone together and eat plentifully and return home for conference. Matt and Jen stayed the weekend with us! We loved having them!

CHEESE! Chuck E Cheese that is! Blake had his farewell to Football party with his football team at the new Chuck E Cheese- Ry and I took the other kids along-they loved it!

Austin has an Awesome shot!

Austin was so funny driving, I had to push the gas pedal. He took driving very seriously and we were rolling, literally, his car was totally beat up, and he would accept no help. It was hilarious, however I hope it's not a sign of things to come!!!

We played absolutely every game! It was a total blast!
