Parker's First

Parker had his first Basketball game on Saturday.  Parker was so excited ALL day, waiting for his game.  He played VERY well of course and had a great time, can't wait until next weekend!

Now I have to confess....Most of you know that I do not like chocolate...........Well I found a treat that I truly enjoy, infact, my mouth is watering right now because I am thinking about it.  Has anyone had V chocolates Pretzels......OOh they are HEAVEN, it's a pretzels smothered in carmel and covered in milk chocolate and sprinkled with a little salt on top, can I just say YUM!!  Well yesterday I found the V chocolates kiosk in the mall and ran over to it :)  Guess what they had, another HUGE weakness of mine..a carmel covered apple smothered in white chocolate--Needless to say I bought one and shared it with my family last night for our FHE treat and can I just say I AM IN HEAVEN!! Ha ha I love V chocolates--so funny I know, but have you seen my expanding waistline----ha haha!  :)

I got the call.........

Yesterday I got the call that all mothers fear.  The school called me in the afternoon and said, "There has been an accident involving your student at recess and we need you to come and take a look at your son, he may need stitches."  Poor Blake collided with another 5th grader while playing Football at recess and the other kids teeth went into the back of Blake's head.  This kid had lost the other teeth that surround the two front teeth so they easily sliced the back of Blake's head right open.  After the bleeding all over, they cleaned him up and called me.  I raced up there and took him to the doctors.  He had a wide wound and the doctor had to stitch closed the gaping wound and pull his head together, surprisingly enough, he only needed three stitches, I can't believe that was all that is holding his head together again, but once the first stitch was in, the doctor was able to pull his scalp back together.

Here is a picture of his stitches when it was all over with.
Luckily it was just stitches and not a broken bone or something worse!  All is well and Blake was a tough kid.  He was happy to go to school today and show off his war wound to his concerned friends and discuss all the bloody details.  Boys are so gross!

Halloween

We all survived one very crazy weekend.  I had three different class parties, 2 halloween carnivals, trunk or treat, and trick or treating to conquer this weekend.  I can say I enjoyed every minute of it, I have tons of pictures and will post them later.  Happy Halloween, a little late!
