Rain, rain, & even MORE rain!!

This has certainly been the most rainy summer I have ever seen!! I cannot believe how much it has been raining! However life has still been tickin on and we grin and bear it...Here are some photos of me hikin Ensign Peak with my girls, we hiked in the rain, it was a great workout with the mud on our shoes, just like ankle weights!!

It was so much fun, even in the pouring rain! After all the slippin and slidin :) we made it to the top. We could've taken sleds and slid back down to the bottom :)

Poor Blake has been so sick :( He has asthma and is having a hard time breathing a temperature and an ear infection, we have a second Dr. aPPT today for him because the antibiotics aren't working, such a trial. This is a picture of Blake in the hospital just after he turned one. Ryan and I had to keep him happy and entertained and keep him in his hospital bed for three days. It was the first time he was hospitalized. I heard him screaming down the hall when they took him to put the IV in his arm. It was so hard to watch my little baby suffer and try so hard just to breathe. Luckily I had full support from my family who brought toys and books and helped me entertain him. He has been hospitalized many times and has been stuck with needles more than many of us have in our lifetime!

Reguardless of how he has been feeling he has still kept up with his Baseball and Football camps these past two weeks and also his Baseball team made it to the finals and he still played and hit a double to score some runs for his team, but they lost by only one run. Too bad he got so bad this weekend we couldn't make it to the funeral of our dear friend. I wish I could have the asthma instead of him, I wish his lungs would heal, it's so hard for me to watch him struggle to breath. I hate giving him steroids, poor kid, people don't realize he is ten and he always has people think he is atleast 2 years younger than he is, I hope he has a growth spurt some day.....Anyway with all that has been happening life still goes on and he is still my happy Blake, he is so optimistic even though he has had so many trials. Last night he said to me"Thanks for helping me Mom." I hope the Doc will help him so he can start feeling better really soon!! I want him to enjoy the summer break.

On a different note, Parker LOVES being out of school for the summer, he couldn't be happier!! He is loving baseball and only has a few more games until the season ends, he is awesome at baseball!! Austin still rides his bike EVERYDAY rain or not!! On Saturday he was out riding in the pouring rain, what am I going to do when snow covers the ground?

My kids are my heros!! Hope all finds you well. Love ya all!
Hours later.....Update....We just found out that Blake has walking pneumonia :(

Summer...

I have struggled keeping up my blog since school has let out. I can honestly say that I love having my kids home.
Although we have been very busy and trying to enjoy every second, we have had some hard times. Blake's teacher from school had her husband in the hospital the last few months, he has been fighting for his life. It was a hard long road the last few months of school for his teacher and the students. We all came to love his teacher and her dear husband, we prayed and fasted for him. He started getting better, and it gave us hope, but his body just couldn't heal all the way, he passed away this weekend and it was really hard on Blake. We will be attending his viewing and funeral this week. I just want his teacher to know that we love her.
Also our sweet Stake President had heart surgery yesterday. They posted a blog and are updating it with his recovery. I posted it on the side for those in my stake so you can follow it.
I love this time of year and I will warn you that my posting will be spotty, but I'll catch up when I can. Love ya all!

WOW! 10 years....

Blake is now TEN years old. I can hardly believe ten years has gone by....I'm so grateful to be his Mom. Somehow, I wish I could relive alot of the fun experiences we have shared as mother and son...He is amazing and I'm happy and sad that he is growing up so fast.
