Our UNIQUE New Years Eve

I know we are not normal....
Parker and Blake had their tonsils and adenoids removed and I had permanent tubes put in my ears.  The hospital gave us our own "suite".  We all had the same ear, nose, throat doc(gave him a nice helping to our savings!)  Parker was first, then Blake, then Me.
 (Parker and Blake before surgery.)
Ryan snuck a picture of me...that stinker!  Gowns are so slimming..whatever.
Recovery not so fun.

Austin enjoyed spending the night at Grandmas...he enjoyed it so much he didn't want to come home.  Tyson was happy to see me, even though I was drugged...goodtimes!  hahaha
I will never have surgery the same day as my kids, I was so worried and stressed for them, I didn't even care about me.  The lady gave me my IV and I was thinking of my kids the whole time, almost completely oblivious to her.  I wanted to be there when they were wheeled into recovery and take care of them, I got to see Parker for a split second before they took me back.  Ryan told me Blake had a hard time after and I wished I could've been there.  When I came to, after my procedure, I asked the nurse how my kids were doing.  As soon as I was able to walk (in recovery) I was over at Parker's side giving him ice chips, and holding the bucket for Blake as he threw up.  We came home and hit a wall, it is tough recovery!  It was good to have two go through it at the same time so they had someone to watch movies with and stuff.  Popsicles, Soup, Mashed potatoes, etc... After 4 days recovery, Ryan went out of town for business for 3 days...needless to say I was so relieved when he finally got home.  Recovery is 10-14 days for Blake and Parker, and a couple weeks for me to hear normal again.  They missed an entire week of school and basketball games.
Well, we are all on the mend and glad to finally be able to celebrate a new year!

Florida!! SLIDESHOW and more :)

Taken at the end of a fun-filled day at Magic Kingdom!

Yeah for vacations! We had  BLAST in Florida!  We went to the Magic Kingdom, Hollywood Studios, Epcot, and Animal Kingdom in Walt Disney World!  The Holiday decorations were wonderful and of course the rides were AWESOME!!  How do you sum up a vacation....you can't, but I will try my best to show a little of what we did.  We had a fun time laughing and being together!
DAY 2 &3 Magic Kingdom
Ryan and Blake were able to a day of the PGA tour and also to a Buccaneers game, while I took the smaller kids to see Mickey! I had a blast with the younger kids riding the classic rides, peter pans flight, small world, experiencing toontown and seeing some shows that Blake and Ryan just wouldn't appreciate :) When they were done they came over and met us and we rode the bigger rides.  Tyson loved the rides too!
DAY 4-EPCOT
We saw alot of the characters here.  We rode Nemo, Soarin, test track, and were blasted into space!
The kids didn't like Epcot very much.  It wasn't as exciting as Magic Kingdom.
DAY 5-Universal Orlando
Universal Orlando Islands of Adventure.  I loved the Harry Potter part of the park!  I read all the books and was in heaven with all the details of this park.  It was like walking into the books!  We had some yummy Butterbeer!  It was so funny when we went to use the bathroom, the ghost was there talking to us..made me giggle like a little girl :)  I am so weird I know!  I rode Hulk Coaster with Blake and it scared me!!  I love roller coasters, except this one.  I was so glad when it was over!  Blake and Ry loved it though!  They rode it several times, Parker was sad he was too short.  Dr. Suess Land was really cute, we have his books and have read them over and over.  It was fun to ride the cat and the hat.  The spinning was funny because Tysons eyes would get really big when we would spin around!  It made us laugh.  Universal was a favorite of ours!
DAY6 Hollywood Studios
More Disney and rides!  We loved the Rockn Roller Coaster, Tower of Terror, the Stunt show, the Indiana Jones show, and of course Toy Story Mania...so much!!  Ryan was part of a stunt show and had something like 30,000 gallons of water dumped on him--HILARIOUS!!  The best part is that there were hardly any lines all the days we were there--YAY!
DAY 7 Animal Kingdom
Not a big hit with the big boys.  We enjoyed looking at the animals, but wanted more of the thrill rides and Disney Excitement.  We did like Mt. Everest and loved it when the rollercoaster shoots you backward!  Wish they had more rides there.  Tyson loved the Lion King Show and eating at the Rainforest CAFE.  It was Mickeys Birthday the day we were here and they had a special parade for it!
DAY 8 MORE Magic Kingdom
Just couldn't get enough...so we went back for more!!
DAY 9 Gatorland
The Grand Finale of the trip was Gatorland where all 4 of my children got to sit on a REAL alligator!!  iT IS HOME TO OVER 3,OOO Crocodiles and Alligators.  There were alot of reptiles and Large insects.  Needless to say, the boys loved it!
The rest of the days we hung out, swam, went to church, and the boys had fun catching lizards and frogs!
In a nutshell, Tyson did so well on the flight!!! He loved Mickey and was a wonderful traveling buddy!
Austin loved all the rides, his favorite was Big Thunder Mountain Railroad.
Parker loved Rock n Roll Rollercoaster, Space Mountain, Splash Mountain, and all the bigger rides, he even rode Small World with me, for me!!
Blake loved Universal.  The Hulk rollercoaster was his favorite (scared me!) and all the "BIG" rides! He was glad that he was at the football game and "missed" riding small world with me.
We had a blast!  So, later Gator! Ha ha ha, COULDN'T RESIST.

Its been so long....I know. I know.

Well to start here is a picture of Parker playing soccer, aka the picture I did not have for a previous post. :D
Our saturdays have been EXTREMELY busy having 2 kids in soccer and two in football.  Parker loved being the bigger and older kid in his league..he always scored multiple goals.
Now that football is done and soccer is having a break until spring it has really been nice to actually have a weekend again.

We had a fun October...I cannot believe it is already November.

Tyson has ben crawling for almost two months now and loves to pull himself up and cruise around the furniture..not too shocking to see a few bruises on his little head.  He is such a little monkey!  I can't believe how fast he caught on. CrAzY!  Hard to see, but he is actually sticking his tongue out in this picture :)
Parker's flag football team playing under the lights in the playoffs.
 On the move again...
Our saturday ritual...from one game to the next.
Austin did not want his picture taken :)
We had a really fun weekend celebrating Halloween.  We spent all day at Boondocks on Friday enjoying unlimited EvErYtHiNG!!!  Saturday we had a fabulous turnout at our trunk or treat.
This Halloween Blake was a baseball player, Parker and Austin were Ghostbusters, and Tyson was a monkey..shocker!!  It was great fun.

Right before we went trick or treating the rain stopped for a brief moment and left a beautiful
"Double rainbow all the way across the sky!" (that was just for you scotty :) lol
Anyway...it was beautiful..right outside my front door! "it was almost a triple!"
It was so Ginormous I couldn't fit it in one shot.
Blake went up to his buddies (die hard trick or treaters) and trick or treated for 3 hours and made bank on candy!  This is a picture of my kids the next day on a BIG sugar high!!
Well tune in next time.  WE ARE GOING TO . . .
(to be continued)

A good whacking and Krispy Kreme confessions...

Well to begin I have to say that whoever invented the card if you buy a dozen Krispy Kreme doughnuts you get a dozen free..unlimited pass..should be checked into a mental hospital!!  Who can resist the yummy crispy icing and chewy center of a hot glazed doughnut that melts in your mouth, or delicious raspberry filled, custard filled ...oh I could go on and on.  Well my father in law has one of those cards and he brings us a dozen doughnuts every time he visits. (and has done that for years now!)  Everytime he brings them, I tell myself I am not going to eat one...well atleast two yummy delicous doughnuts later I am mad at myself for not resisting!!  Needless to say he brought me a yummy smelling box this morning and the kids were at school and boy did I try to resist but it was much too hard.  After whacking the bushes outside (with his help) and cleaning up the yard I came in and had a raspberry filled and a glazed doughnut...with my bushes all trimmed and slim  it makes me wonder...am I ever going to lose this baby weight...not if Krispy Kreme has anything to do with it!

Parker's Baptism and more!

Parker is 8!!!  He was baptized Labor Day Weekend.  He was so excited and ready to be baptized.  He loves the scriptures and his Primary Teachers.  After his baptism and church Sunday we went and stayed in Park City for a couple days and got some much needed R&R.  We did alot of swimming and shopping and rode the Alpine slide.  (Parker is pulling a goofy face in this picture.)
We also have the boys in Soccer and Football.  On Saturdays Ryan and I have to divide and conquer.  So we take turns going to the different games.  Here is Blake playing football. He's the silver and navy pants #27, he made some awesome plays and is doing well.  It is scary to see some of the kids he is playing against, they are 5 times his size.  He has no fear and charges them and takes them down!  He likes playing running back.
Austin is on FIRE playing soccer, he takes on kids that are twice as big as he is and is not afraid.  His team is BRIGHT yellow/green I think they should be called the "highlighters" :)  they are the Lightning Strikes.  Austin has made a few goals and some great plays!  We couldn't be more proud.
Ryan went to Parkers game and I had the camera so I will post pictures of Parker playing next time.  Parker made TWO goals in the first minute of his game on Saturday!!!!!!!!!!!!
I took this picture of the kids this morning of them eating breakfast, I wish I could freeze time..they get along so well, I couldn't ask for better kids! I love them!!
Tyson is growing by leaps and bounds!!  He is eating fruits, veggies, and baby cereal.  He pulls the funniest faces when he eats.  He is sitting up on his own and scooting around...he truly is a delight!!

It's Official!

School is in session.
Parker started last Monday, Austin started Friday, and Blake started today.  I can now officially say my kids are all back to school.  We have been crazy busy (surprise) this entire summer and now fall is around the corner.  Football is in full swing here.  Blake had his first game Saturday.  They won 14-7.  Parker and Austin start soccer next weekend and Parker will be playing flag football, that starts mid September.  I took some photos of the kids on their first day, however I realized I am a bad mother.  I took Parker and Austin to school made a big fuss over them and forgot to get Blakes picture, so tommorow I will have to take his.  I feel completely horrible about it.  This year Blake is in 6th grade!!!  Sixth grade, I can't believe it......Parker is in 3rd grade and Austin Kindergarten.  So I have one in the beginning, one in the middle and one in the end of the elementary grades, so silly I know.  Tyson is not going to know what to do with all the quiet, right now he is "helping" me type :)  Hope all finds you well this school morning!
