Just peeking ...

I know I have become a non-existent blogger...hahaha
I just turned on the computer to finish my parents calendar and upload photos and thought I would check in.  Sorry I am such a slacker, however tis the season to be busy, so I hope to be better next year!

I can tell you that all is well here.  The kids are looking forward to the Christmas Break.  Tyson didn't even cry when we went and saw Santa, which is a first for any of my children at this age.  He just hopped right on up on Santa's knee and happily walked away with a giant candy cane...cracked me up!  Austin just finished Basketball and LOVED every second of it.  Parker and Blake are just getting ready for their Basketball season to start in January.  Ry and I are loving our boys and stay very, very busy!!  I gotta get back to my calendar, so until next time.

Seriously?!?!?!

I forgot about my blog...it has been a LONG, LONG TIME. I am sorry I didn't blog more this past year, we had a ROCKIN summer!!!! I have a zillion pictures to upload and post, so sorry not tonight :(

Quick Updates....
Blake. JR HIGH!!!! yeah, he is in Jr High and it totally freaks me out! He made All-stars in baseball this summer and loved every minute of it!! He is also developing "teenager" brain which isn't so fun, but bounces back thank goodness. Why is it so hard to let go? I want him to be my little Blake FOREVER. He did become a Deacon this summer and loves being in Young Mens. He currently is playing football and loving that now. :)
Parker. Also played baseball this summer and is going to try and pitch next year. He is my helper and takes very good care of Tyson. He is in 4th grade this year. He is my loving son, always there to give me a hug :). He loves school and does very well, he is my most obedient and comes right home to finish his homework, no complaints from me! He is also loving football right now :)
Austin. 1st grade!!!! Yay, all day school! He loves school, he thinks he is so big, it's great! Austin loves all sports too and did extremely well in coach pitch baseball this summer. He is currently playing soccer and loves it! He scored 5 goals in his last game and he is a foot shorter than the other kids, he is very agressive, it's fun! He is looking forward to football next year :)
Tyson. He has hit the "terrible twos" early. He is fearless and loves to climb!!!!! He is curious and extremely stubborn(sound like anyone ya know, lol) anyway, he is quite the clown and entertainer. He misses his brothers while they are gone all day to school, but loves my full time attention :) he is in Nursery now, which is nice for me but a challenge for his teachers! He is a handful, but sure is sweet. He loves tractors and birds :)

Ryan and I. We had some really fun family vacations this summer and some great times! We just celebrated 14 years of marriage and still going strong :) I love ALL my boys!!
Is Summer really over??? Do I have too many smiley faces in this post???
Life is good!

Updates :D

Baseball is in full "swing"!  Blake, Parker and Austin are all playing again.
Parker is happy to have finished 3rd grade, but is sad to not see his friends everyday.
Tyson has officially mastered everything :) ie. opening dishwasher, climbing on counters and tables, grabbing and breaking glasses, bugging his brothers, screaming, saying his favorite word "more", and so much more!

Austin is glad he doesn't have to hit the ball off the tee anymore.
 Austin also graduated from Kindergarten

Blake is so happy to be done with Elementary and is happily moving on to Jr. High.  His bday is this week and he is also happy to leave Primary behind and move on to the "Big Leagues" of manhood....hahaha
He is excited to get the Priesthood and become a Deacon on Sunday.
Soccer finished up unbelievably with all the rain and cold weather we have had.
And me, well I am glad it is finally Summer :)

Saying Goodbye

This past week my family helped my parents move to a new house. I had to say goodbye to my childhood home. I didn't think I would be this sad. It was hard cleaning the kitchen for the last time, vacuuming for the last time, and walking through the empty bedrooms. My parents built it and lived there for almost 34 years. So farewell to an "old friend", the house I grew up in.

My other relationship....

With laundry. Uggh! I am venting today as I load, unload, reload my washer and dryer. I wonder how ya'all feel about laundry. Yesterday my Hubby gave me Hillary Weeks new book and CD...laughing about her "CLimb laundry song! Anyway, with 3 kids in baseball (two practices and games every week), 2 kids in soccer, 2 in swimming lessons, Ry and my gym clothes, school uniforms, play clothes, not to mention my messy one year old.... OH MY!!! Laundry, Laundry, Laundry. There is so much that as I was sorting it this morning I just wanted to cry! I have a love/hate relationship...i hate the load, reload, and folding...but love the accomplishment and satisfaction when it is all put away. Which only lasts a few minutes until the kids get home and I begin again! Grrr!

CATCH UP!

Tyson got tubes in his ears at the end of March.
They took him back in this wagon instead of the hospital crib.  He loved it!
He did really well!  He wasn't grumpy when he woke up, just a happy little camper!
Blake had his 6th grade play.  These are his buddies from school.
We had a nice getaway for Spring Break.  The highlight was having our own hot tub in the hotel.
Basketball came and went.  This is Blake's comp team.  they have played together for a few years!  They made the playoffs and did very well!  I don't have any pics of his rec league.  Blake really enjoyed Basketball this year.
Parker played really well and loved having his best bud Raef on his team.
Tyson had his first birthday!!!  I have some pictures of the awesome cake my sister made him, but they are on my mom's camera, so i will post about his birthday later.
Life is always busy!  But I wouldn't trade it for anything else!  Baseball and soccer are in full swing at our house and I will try and post some pics soon!

Our UNIQUE New Years Eve

I know we are not normal....
Parker and Blake had their tonsils and adenoids removed and I had permanent tubes put in my ears.  The hospital gave us our own "suite".  We all had the same ear, nose, throat doc(gave him a nice helping to our savings!)  Parker was first, then Blake, then Me.
 (Parker and Blake before surgery.)
Ryan snuck a picture of me...that stinker!  Gowns are so slimming..whatever.
Recovery not so fun.

Austin enjoyed spending the night at Grandmas...he enjoyed it so much he didn't want to come home.  Tyson was happy to see me, even though I was drugged...goodtimes!  hahaha
I will never have surgery the same day as my kids, I was so worried and stressed for them, I didn't even care about me.  The lady gave me my IV and I was thinking of my kids the whole time, almost completely oblivious to her.  I wanted to be there when they were wheeled into recovery and take care of them, I got to see Parker for a split second before they took me back.  Ryan told me Blake had a hard time after and I wished I could've been there.  When I came to, after my procedure, I asked the nurse how my kids were doing.  As soon as I was able to walk (in recovery) I was over at Parker's side giving him ice chips, and holding the bucket for Blake as he threw up.  We came home and hit a wall, it is tough recovery!  It was good to have two go through it at the same time so they had someone to watch movies with and stuff.  Popsicles, Soup, Mashed potatoes, etc... After 4 days recovery, Ryan went out of town for business for 3 days...needless to say I was so relieved when he finally got home.  Recovery is 10-14 days for Blake and Parker, and a couple weeks for me to hear normal again.  They missed an entire week of school and basketball games.
Well, we are all on the mend and glad to finally be able to celebrate a new year!
