The latest

I have to post about this.  Blake went to 2 retirement homes today to perform with his "Spectropia" chimes group and loved it!  This morning before he went he was asking me what retirement and nursing homes were.  He was excited to get out of doing schoolwork all day.  Anyway, when he got home from school he had a big smile on his face and this is what he told me, "The retired people are good at bowling on the wiI Mom!"  Blake said both places they went to had bowling on wii, so much for Bingo, now we have the wii to look forward to when we get older!!  He told me that "they were good and quick for being really old!"  He cracked me up because of how surprised he was.  I must've made it sound like they were "really" old, which makes me wonder what I said exactly.....
Parker had his Basketball game on Saturday and made three baskets got a couple assists and great rebounds.  Every day all three of my boys put on their Basketball jerseys and play basketball.  I wish walls were indestructable, unfortunately for my house, they are not.
Austin still thinks the baby can hear him better if he yells into my mouth!
These boys of mine are great!  I love them!
On a bittersweet note, I was released from Young Womens on Sunday, I will miss the girls and leaders.  I am wondering what calling is in store for me next......what do you give a pregnant women with a husband in Bishopric to do, hmmmm?? I love serving and it'll be interesting to see what comes my way, I'll keep ya posted.  In the meantime I'M FREE!!!  HA Ha ha
P.S. Sorry no pics, I'll post some next time, I have tons, I'm just too lazy to walk into the kitchen and get my camera....the honest brutal truth!!  :)

Parker's First

Parker had his first Basketball game on Saturday.  Parker was so excited ALL day, waiting for his game.  He played VERY well of course and had a great time, can't wait until next weekend!

Now I have to confess....Most of you know that I do not like chocolate...........Well I found a treat that I truly enjoy, infact, my mouth is watering right now because I am thinking about it.  Has anyone had V chocolates Pretzels......OOh they are HEAVEN, it's a pretzels smothered in carmel and covered in milk chocolate and sprinkled with a little salt on top, can I just say YUM!!  Well yesterday I found the V chocolates kiosk in the mall and ran over to it :)  Guess what they had, another HUGE weakness of mine..a carmel covered apple smothered in white chocolate--Needless to say I bought one and shared it with my family last night for our FHE treat and can I just say I AM IN HEAVEN!! Ha ha I love V chocolates--so funny I know, but have you seen my expanding waistline----ha haha!  :)

I got the call.........

Yesterday I got the call that all mothers fear.  The school called me in the afternoon and said, "There has been an accident involving your student at recess and we need you to come and take a look at your son, he may need stitches."  Poor Blake collided with another 5th grader while playing Football at recess and the other kids teeth went into the back of Blake's head.  This kid had lost the other teeth that surround the two front teeth so they easily sliced the back of Blake's head right open.  After the bleeding all over, they cleaned him up and called me.  I raced up there and took him to the doctors.  He had a wide wound and the doctor had to stitch closed the gaping wound and pull his head together, surprisingly enough, he only needed three stitches, I can't believe that was all that is holding his head together again, but once the first stitch was in, the doctor was able to pull his scalp back together.

Here is a picture of his stitches when it was all over with.
Luckily it was just stitches and not a broken bone or something worse!  All is well and Blake was a tough kid.  He was happy to go to school today and show off his war wound to his concerned friends and discuss all the bloody details.  Boys are so gross!
